Bukidnon, My Home after Lupang Hinirang

I think it is a great idea to sing this Bukidnon anthem where lupang hinirang is sung in Bukidnon. This is a great way to remind everyone how beautiful this paradise is. Its residents should take care of it and each other.

Below is an actual report from Bukidnon online.

Bukidnon hymn shall be rendered right after the singing of the National Anthem such as flag ceremonies in schools and offices and sessions of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Panlungsod, Bayan and Pambarangay as required and mandated with the approval of Ordinance No. 2009-041R , AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING AND MANDATING THE SINGING OF THE BUKIDNON HYMN AFTER THE SINGING OF THE NATIONAL ANTHEM IN ANY PROGRAM, ACTIVITY OR EVENT IN THE PROVINCE OF BUKIDNON.

The ordinance was authored by Hon. Nemesio B. Beltran Jr., Board Member District II as a way of showing patriotism to the beloved province of Bukidnon in various events.

The Bukidnon hymn, composed by Filomeno O. Bautista has pictured out how blessed Bukidnon is with Mother Nature and emphasized on the bounty and beauty there is. The hymn also has its Binukid version written by Prudencio Caterial.

The heads of the Department of Interior and Local Government, the Department of Education and the Civil Service and/or Human Resource Management Office in the Province of Bukidnon were given the responsibility of disseminating copies of the ordinance for compliance and information purposes, to all agencies concerned, government or private.

The Bukidnon hymn reminds us of the good climate and environment that we are blessed to have, and hence, it is just but proper, that the words, the lyrics and the hymn itself, should be instilled and inculcated in the minds and hearts of our people, youth and adult alike.
